A Celebration of Hats for Saint Catherine's Day

Join us for a day of celebration on Saint Catherine's Day, the 25th November for free talks, demonstrations and activities suitable for all ages and those new to and experienced with hats. The event will be hosted by members of Vendredi Millinery Group, whose exhibition 'A Hat or a Husband?' in the Marble Gallery showcases newly made and historic hats to celebrate the Patron Saint of Milliners, Saint Catherine.

The day will feature a pop-up-shop with hats for sale, milliners at work showcasing elements of hat making including blocking and steaming, and drop in activities and hat trying on for children, plus tea and cake available to buy.
