The Secret Lives of Objects

'The Secret Lives of Objects' presents a selection of 2D and 3D works produced by ‘Ellipsis’ – three Calderdale based artists, in response to objects from Calderdale Museums’ stored collections. The title ‘The Secret Lives of Objects’ explores the idea that there are hidden or alternative meanings and new narratives to be creatively discovered within museum collections. In this pocket exhibition artworks will be displayed alongside a variety of collections objects providing audiences with an insight into each artists’ unique interpretation. For more information on the project CLICK HERE.

Join us for the opening day on Saturday 11th November when the Mayor of Calderdale, Councillor Ferman Ali, will officially open the exhibition in the community gallery with a ribbon cutting at 1:30pm. Meet the artists between 12 – 3pm and there will be free refreshments.
