Colours Of Calderdale: Textile Art Group’s 30th Anniversary Exhibition
This event takes place at Bankfield Museum
Founded in 1994 and meeting monthly in Bankfield Museum, the Textile Art Group celebrates its 30th anniversary with the exhibition Colours of Calderdale. This links in with Calderdale’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, Culturedale, which celebrates the huge diversity of cultural attractions, diverse groups and many celebratory events being held throughout the Calder Valley during the year. The aim of the group (also known as TAG) is to create textile-based work of any kind for exhibitions and is achieved through mutual help and inspiration, workshops, demonstrations, and discussions.
TAG have exhibited at Farfield Mill, Sedbergh in 2020, and at Bankfield Museum in 2022, consisting of work produced mostly through the inspiration of their on-line meetings during Covid lockdowns. This friendly and supportive group, where everyone has an equal voice, continues to look to the future and their next exhibition. They always welcome visitors and new members alike.
