Creating a Watercolour nest
This event takes place at Bankfield Museum
Join watercolour artist Jane Austin for a workshop to learn the many ways in which to layer watercolour paint, masking fluid and mark making to create the image of a bird’s nest. Jane will explain the pitfalls commonly experienced with these techniques and provide guidance which will make their application easy and very helpful when painting in the future.
Jane Austin has been a professional artist for 25 years. Her work has been exhibited nationally and locally, with many solo exhibitions at All Souls' Church. Her work can be seen currently at Bankfield Museum, Shibden Hall, the Halifax Minster, Dean Clough and the Piece Hall.
Paper, brushes, pencils, and paint/ink will be provided as well as source material.
Minimum age 12.
The workshop takes place upstairs with no lift access.
Space is limited to 10 people.
Jane will be carrying out a demonstration using this technique at Bankfield Museum on Saturday 18th November 1-3pm.
