The Patterns of Fashion award is an annual competition run by the UK Costume Society. It celebrates and honours the work of dress historian Janet Arnold who was a founder member of the society in 1964.  First launched in 2001 the awards are open to full or part-time students studying costume and fashion-related education courses.
