House of Foxy and Bankfield Museum present a Vintage Fashion Extravaganza!
Following the success of last year's 1940s fashion show, we are delighted to announce House of Foxy will be joining us again for a free, day-long Vintage Fashion Extravaganza!
Saturday 3 October, 10am to 3pm
The House of Foxy will be taking to the catwalk with two fashion shows celebrating 50 years of vintage style and exploring the evolution of fashion from 1926 to 1976 in daywear and eveningwear. Expect changing silhouettes, fabulous details and plenty of fashion history along the way.
Alongside The House of Foxy there will be local vintage clothing traders and vintage inspired designer/makers selling their wares.
And yes, this is absolutely an excuse to dress up. Come in your favourite era, bring your vintage loving friends, take photographs and meet fellow fashion enthusiasts. We would love to see the museum positively buzzing with fabulous outfits.
There is no admission charge for the Vintage Fashion Extravaganza, making it a lovely opportunity to discover vintage fashion, local history and Bankfield Museum for yourself.
Make a day of it and explore Bankfield Museum, including our current Fashion Extremes! exhibition, celebrating 250 years of everyday fashion trends that go beyond the practical, border the exaggerated and make a bold statement.
